Dorothy (Dodi)'s Story
My greetings and my love to all those who are members of the Saint Anthony High School family! How can it be that it was almost 45 years ago that we graduated from that very special place?! Whenever I visit Long Beach I make a special point of visiting SAHS, always so grateful for my memories and all those who continue to be such treasures in my life!
I live in Hyattsville, Maryland and continue to work in the inner-city of Washington, DC. Most of the time I work at a great place called SOME (So Others Might Eat) and continue to be awed by and so grateful for all the glimpses of God I catch every single day. At SOME, meals are served, showers and clean clothing are made available, and housing is provided, as are medical services. ( I do miss my students and being in a classroom everyday---but I do spend time with the kids at school each week.)

y 45th year as a Franciscan Sister; I continue to be so very grateful for my vocation and for the incredible women who so generously share their Franciscan spirit and goodness with me. Our Sisters serve in Florida, Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Peru, and Kenya, focusing our efforts on ministry to the poor.
I continue to enjoy theater, music, and nonsense. I usually make my trip home to Long Beach every year and am so grateful to Joni Payton and Debbie Jones for being my "home base" buddies. I do look forward to celebrating our SAHS 50th Reunion down the road a bit ...sigh...50th...dear God!?!! In the meantime, celebrate all that is good in your life and count on my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for gifting me with such wonderful memories!
Much love,
Dodi Ebert ('71)
